After waiting weeks to get in to see the ENT, we made our way to Children's South for our 10:30 appointment. We arrive at the instructed "30 minutes early" to find a waiting room FULL of children and parents. And when I say full, I mean FULL!!
We ended up waiting about 1 hr before being called back. 2 tired/sweating parents, 1 tired/hungry 13 mth old, 3 coats and a diaper bag are being herded through sign in process and hearing screening before finally finding a room. Now placed in a room for about 40 minutes to wait on the doctor. After discussing the options, it is determined that tubes are the way to go. As Ben is nodding off, we are scheduling the procedure for next Tuesday.
Ben was such a brave trooper. Missing his morning nap completely and having his ears checked by the audiologist, nurse practitioner, then the ENT all wore him out! He was asleep before he even knew he was in the car.
So, the plan......Tubes on Tuesday!
