Same Patch but Different Patch Too!!

Last October, we took our 11 month old to The Grande Ole Pumpkin Patch in Clanton.  He was just getting really good at walking, I was 3 months pregnant, and we had never been to a patch before.  This October, we took our 23 month old to the same patch.  He is VERY good at running, Abby is 6 months old, and we experienced the same patch in a much different light!!

Last year, we posed Ben in all the various photo spots.  We sat at a picnic bench and snacked on funnel cake.  We casually boarded the tractor wagon and walked gingerly through the rough terrain as our little Ben picked out his very first pumpkin.  This year, we attempted to pose our Ben and our Abby....most of the times it was impossible to get both looking at the same time.  Ben ran and loved the wide open spaces!  He snacked on shaved ice.  He lifted all the pumpkins he could....and tried really hard to lift the ones he couldn't.  We pushed our double stroller with Abby in tow up to the LONG line to the tractor wagon.  A 30 plus minute wait in the line was made all the better with funnel cake snack, juice and gummy bears.  After parking the stroller, I took Abby, the camera bag and the diaper bag (Abby was about to need to eat), Marc took Ben.  No gingerly walking this year.  Our Ben now runs and jumps and plays up and down each aisle.  He finds his pumpkin.....his 2nd pumpkin (luckily, he picked a medium sized one!).  Now our large carrying load is made more with the addition of our pumpkin.  A tractor ride back and a few minutes running around the sunflower garden, we head to the car.

What a fun afternoon!  Seeing the patch with Ben 1 year later was even more fun....and  yes, even more tiring.  We love seeing him run and play.  We love knowing how much fun he is having.  The pictures are similar to last year.....but there are some obvious changes and additions.

What a happy fall this has been.....and it's not even Halloween yet!!

Now, let's compare....
