6 Month Checkup.......Done!!

Our day started with Ben's 6 month pediatrician appointment.  We packed up and were there a little before 8.  He weighed in at a whopping 18.6 pounds (75% percentile) and measured 28 inches (95% percentile).  Needless to say, Ben is going to be a big guy!
It is always an exciting time between the nurse taking her measures and the doctor coming in.  How do you entertain a 6 month old on a cold table with paper lining?  Well, you would be surprised.  After a  few tours around the room, including a good look at the model of the ear, we head back to the table with the 2 must haves......  Sophie the Giraffe and a taggie.
Ben's pediatrician is such a nice doctor.  Ben gets a great report!!!  We can start introducing a sippy-cup as well as more and more food.  I can't believe that our little baby is going to be drinking from a cup.  We have to start "brushing" his new teeth....with a washcloth first then a little brush.  He is growing up so fast!!
The dreaded shots were next.  Ben did so great, and has 4 Tweety-Bird band aids to show for it!  His mommy didn't do as well, but wasn't given anything! The second they are over, I hold him as tight as I can.  With tears still in his eyes, he gives the nurse a smile to let her know everything is ok.
We are so blessed to have such a happy healthy baby boy.
