Summers in Alabama are known for one thing.....HOT sunny days. And the best thing about these summer days is getting to enjoy them outside (usually by a pool or in the shade of a tree). Well, this year, Ben is getting to enjoy his very first summer and today he got to spend this beautiful day with his friend Catherine. My friend Hillary and I packed up our babies and met at the Ross Bridge Park. It was very very warm so we found the best shade we could. Ben just could not keep his eyes off this tiny little thing that was next to him. Catherine was wearing the most adorable pastel colored dress and a precious white headband. Her eyelashes are going to be the envy of EVERY single girl! And I know, she will be batting those eyes very soon! Ben just stared at her.....and a few times reached out to hold her arm. It was just so sweet!
We are so excited that Ben and Catherine are going to grow up together. It is going to be so fun to see the two of them run and play and one day, start school. So, this summer, we plan on having many picnics and swim parties. And by the end of summer, we may just have a summer romance on our hands!!
