April 27, 2011, Ben's home state was hit by numerous tornadoes. Despite the warnings and news coverage, these strong storms tore through Alabama and left so many without homes. And the worst part of this storm outbreak is the many lives that were lost. We were so blessed to be without damage to our home. We were so blessed to be without any injury. We are so blessed to have our loved ones safe. But, we are now so overwhelmed by our fellow Alabamians' losses. The devastating damage is severe. The images are heartbreaking. We lift those affected up in prayer and hope the communities will be rebuilt quickly. Ben will not remember this day, but when he is older, we will share with him the stories. Times like this we are reminded to not take anything for granted and to cherish our loved ones even more.
