Ben's 1st Easter Celebration

Easter Sunday has arrived and with it comes the so much joy and celebration.  The weather could not have been more beautiful.  Ben got to wear his new Easter outfit (blue seersuckers and a blue polo) and tear (or should I say knock over and spill out) into his very first Easter Basket.  The blue basket was filled with green grass and pastel colored eggs.  The Easter Bunny brought Ben a new friend named Scout that can say, sing and spell Ben's name.  Peter Cottontail was practical as well when he also included two fun pairs of socks and a pack of bibs.  Ben was fascinated by the eggs.  It was so cute to see him reach for the eggs with his chubby hands and all we could do is just imagine what he was thinking.  Lunch was delicious.  My mom made a ham, deviled eggs, sweet potato souffle and I made mac  n cheese and green bean casserole.  Ben sat with us at the table in his high chair and had yummy carrots and pears.  It was a wonderful lunch shared by 4 1/4 people.  We laughed as Ben enjoyed his lunch WAY more than we did....and you could see it all over his face....literally!!
I've had 31 Easters to celebrate.....3 with my husband.....and now 1 with my baby boy.  It is always such a great day but today it was even better.  We were, for the first time, able to celebrate the greatest miracle in history with the new love of our lives
