Sunny Saturday

Since Marc is out of town at his friend's wedding, Ben and I headed to Ben's B and G's house for the day.  It is so fun to see Ben at their house. We usually see them at our house a few times a week but today, we visited them.  We spent Thanksgiving there when Ben was a mere 3 weeks old, as well as, Christmas when he was 1 1/2 months old.  He was so little, and he slept most of the time.  Well, today, 5 month old Ben was wide awake and ready to play!!
The weather was just perfect.  The sun was shining and the temperature was in the high 80s.  Mom took him in the yard to show him my Dad's perfect lawn and landscaping of tulips, nandinas, pansies and roses.  He took a trip to the neighbors' house, because they won't miss an opportunity to show him off.  Mom and Ben spent some time on the back deck swinging in their porch swing.  Dad got to take some great pictures of Ben....just, well, being Ben.  They got to feed him his most recent new food....carrots.  Luckily, Ben didn't decorate the living room with his dinner.  Mom rocked him in the old wooden rocker that she used with me. Ben was exhausted and fell asleep the second we got in the car! It was such a perfect day, both inside the house and outside as well.  We were surrounded by more blessing than we could count.
