Our Divine Distraction

For the last 7 months, Ben has been the center of not only his parent's world, but the world of his grandparents' too.  Without knowing it, he has forever changed the way we live our day....and night.  Without knowing it, he has brought more joy than we ever knew possible into our lives.
As we are walking through a very difficult time right now, Ben has become what my mom has deemed .... A Divine Distraction.  With all the tears and sadness, my family has this 20 pound distraction to remind us of laughter and smiles.  To remind us of growth and life.  To remind us of innocence and purity.
My Dad and Ben have this amazing connection.  When everyone in the room is trying to get Ben's attention, he looks to my Dad, his G.  This has been one of the most miraculous things!  He sits next to my Dad and reaches toward him to place his chubby hand on his cheek.  He leans his head in to get a kiss from his G.  With a squeal or laugh or even a simple smile, he and his G have these precious moments.
This world is faulted.  But the love we all share is perfect.
