We have been talking about getting his hair trimmed for the last month or so....but with the arrival of Abigail, we have put it off. Well, today was the day. Marc got his hair cut around lunch and talked to them about cutting Ben's hair this afternoon. So, after his morning nap and lunch, the Rosner 4 headed out! It was the first time all 4 of us were in the car together. The backseat was packed....a convertable carseat, a pumpkin seat, and 2 giant FisherPrice mirrors! It was just perfect!
We decided to let Ben sit in Marc's lap for the cut. Ben was fine until she tried to put the wrap around his neck. That was a no go!! I said, "Seriously, it is fine...I don't mind hair on his shirt!" So, Marc had a wrap on but Ben didn't! The squirming and crying began shortly there after. He wasn't too excited about having a stranger touch his hair...much less use scissors! Not sure when she decided the buzzer was the better option.....but Ben about lost it when she turned that thing on. She handed him a toy....he was interested for about 5 seconds....she tried a lollipop.....he could not have cared less. He just wanted it to be over! From start to finish it was just a few minutes....but to this Mommy it felt like forever!
After it was over, the people in the salon clapped and cheered for him. His tears were then replaced with a smile. And now, he was all about the lollipop!
