Merry Christmukkah

Happy Hanukkah!  Merry Christmas!  or as we say "Merry Christmukkah" 

Our children are so blessed to have been given a background that is the basis for who we as Christians are.  Ben and Abby are direct descendents of God's most chosen people.  With the Jewish heritage AND also the Christian, they are blessed beyond measure. 

 

December 8, was the first night of Hanukkah.  We celebrated this as Marc did growing up.  We teach our babies about the Menorah and the candles.  Marc read the blessings and then we talked about the presents.  Well, to a 2 year old, the moment the word "present" is heard, all other words are omitted.  Marc brings in Ben's gift....and he dives right in.

It was so fun seeing our babies dressed in their Christmas outfits while opening the Hanukkah gifts.  The absolute best of both heritages.....all rolled into one household!
