Costumes, Candy, and Crisp Fall Air

Halloween....a day and night of costumes and candy and crisp fall weather.

We started this Halloween at Ben's School Party.  Elmo and Abby Cadabby were dressed up and ready to P A R T Y!  Ben trick or treated with his little friends and gathered lots of goodies and candy.  He played with spiderman and giraffe and even a little elephant.  His teachers showed us how they have circle time and went over their colors and shapes.  It  was beyond adorable.

We headed home....de-costumed.....and had lunch and naps.

Marc left work early and headed home to eat dinner and re-costume!  (We ordered pizza and it took a mere 2 hrs and 4 phone calls to get here.  That is a whole other story as Ben ate a dinner (not pizza) and we ate cold pizza late that night!)  Elmo got his Elmo pumpkin and Abby went in the stroller with a blanket and we headed out.  In the hurried time to get them out the door, this Mommy forgot to put her candy on the porch.  So we were the crappy house that is decorated but no candy.  BOOO on us...luckily we didn't get egged!

Our neighborhood does an amazing job.  Houses are decorated.  Neighbors are greeting the kids in their driveway or at the door with treats.  Music is playing.  It is such fun!  Ben loved the whole process.  Ring the bell, open the door (almost walk into their house!) and hold out the bucket.  He usually said "treat"...sometimes just waved.  We would empty his bucket into the stroller when it got too "heaby" and then off he went again.  He walked and walked.  Abby napped and napped.  It was just so much fun!  Seeing Halloween through a 2 year olds eyes was even more fun than ever before.

1 1/2 hours of walking led to Elmo getting carried home the last 1/2 block.  We got home, ate pizza and then had some candy.  Ben just loved it!  Abby will love the pictures when we tell her about it later!

The Rosners had such a fun Oct 31.  And because of Ben's treats and Mommy forgetting to put out the candy, we will have fun candy filled days to come !

(notice the tiny clementine at the bottom right??  yes, it hasn't been touched)
